How Dental Implants Work?
It is a small "fixation" titanium that is inserted into the jaw or jawbone to take the place of the root of the tooth or missing teeth.
After osseointegration (when the surrounding bone has healed around the implant), you can place the prosthesis (artificial tooth) on implants.
The look, feel and behavior of the new tooth is very similar to natural teeth.
What are the advantages?
Missing teeth is often accompanied by a progressive loss of bone maxilla or mandible. Implant placement helps slow the loss and facilitates thus maintaining your facial anatomy.
Allows replace missing teeth without having to wear the neighboring teeth, as is done in the crowns (cases) and traditional bridges.
